Removing the 5MP nightowl Costco cams ( finally)
installing some 3241 ZAS and 5442 -z4 and 5231 z12's and some amcrest 1179e's.
Got 2 swapped before midnite.
outdoor cam is on defaults, the old one was forced color with settings tweaked.
indoor 1179ew just turned on custom BLC and clicked on the washed out tool box ( right) it calmed things down.

Excuse the clutter, men working! IP camera install!...top 6 are new cams.
Finally cool enought to get up in the trusses and pull some cable.
Bottom right 3 are Nightowls.
( 1 Amcrest AD110 doorbell bottom left)

Out with the old 5mp Costco/Nightowl cams, and in with some new Dahua's from Andy and also 3 from Amcrest.
I kept putting it off because I didnt have 8 cams to swap positions with the 8 old cams. So I saw the Amcrests were down to $47
So I grabbed 3 for light duty. So i have 8 IP cams now. 6 installed.
So for the time being,
I'm running both systems, and taking down, and putting up as I go.
I'm using the Amcrest NVR 4108 as a POE switch to BI. :)
But I gotta say, Pardon my bitching about NVR's in the past...
This model has a nicer timeline review/ more user friendly /more time efficient, than my Nightowl Dvr's and the Amcrest XVR.
So If I were to turn off the BI machine to do some work on it...I'm still recording somewhere.
" find/Inspect" was new revelation( see 2nd pic) with the Amcrest vs. the tough time I had getting a Nightowl to work with BI.
You can choose your cam channel and which substream! wow!

I used to hate trying to see anything on the old NVR's
That and the " onscreen display' for camera attributes in the analog cams were annoying.
Thats How I ended up here ( There has got to be a better way! Grrrrrr
Once I saw the functions available in the Dahua style IP cams. I was like" Someday You will be Mine"
Well Yesterday was the day. and today.

I've been swapping out Analog for IP over the last 2 years at the Condo,
and Now finally at home...Yay!
Now i can talk smack in the Forums...
Because I'm a card carrying IP cammer now mofo's!

Ok here is an updated pic of how it looks now with 7 IP cams and a couple remaining Costco cams.
The lady of the house didn't like when I unplugged the Entryway cam....
So until I get an IP replacement, I'm running 2 analog cams which means 2 Amcrest boxes. 1 DVR - 1NVR.
Kind of a waste of energy at the moment....Although @wittaj pointed out, the old DVR cams can provide extra IR if I want in the back yard....
He just unplugged the data cable and lets them run....
Hadn't thought of that....
