Old monitor ( DVI/VGA ) on Hik DS-7608NXI-I2 / 4S, No pic

Neewbie question maybe.

I have an old monitor but it doesent recon the NVR, I have loged into it through my laptop, no problem. But when i try to make an connect my old monitor doesent recon it.
NVR on system / outmeny it is Auto/ 1024*768 60Hz

is there a solution to try?

The NVR is probably outputting a resolution higher than the old monitor recognizes. Try a lower resolution.

did your laptop has a vga connector or hdmi only?

if u havent already tried, try to use a real vga cable to connect the both.

The cable is hdmi-DVI. I will try a fully VGA connection too. If i find that cable Thanks for reply!

Hdmi only. I tried diffrent cables.. Is it maybe only possible to connect trough a pc to the nvr? I cant connect directly from the nvr via vga( nvr) or hdmi(nvr) to.my monitor dvi/vga

if u have to use hdmi only then plug it into the tv in your living room.

other wise you visit the the nvr's webpage with your laptop by keying in it's ip on ie if it is connected to the network

else pickup a $5 vga cable from ebay and your problem is solved.
