Older Dahua Firmware Source?

Hello all,

I have several DH-IPC-HFW2431SP-S2-S. Originally, they had a firmware dated mid-2020. I upgraded to the latest firmware and I feel the video quality has suffered greatly. The 3D/2D NR seems to be causing more problems than it solves. I seem have to the choice of blur or noise.

Unless there's a real trick to adjusting the 3D/2D NR, I'd like to step back to the older 2020 firmware.

I have a camera with the 2020 firmware but I'm not sure how I'd go about extracting that to flash onto my other cameras.

I've done extensive searching and have come up empty handed.

Does anyone know of any repositories?

This is a good example of why we say, if it's not broke, don't fix it.
Unless you are trying to fix a problem with a camera, and you are sure the newer firmware will solve it, don't upgrade just because.

The best firmware version for Molec series cameras is V2.800.
3DNR and 2DNR of V2.820 cause more noise.
Once upgraded to V2.820, it is difficult to downgrade back to the old firmware.
Try this Upall_IPC-HX2XXX-Molec
Dahua Upall is a complete recovery firmware.
But I don't know how to use.
Maybe you can ask Andy.

The promise of 2D/3D NR seemed too good to give up. Having said that...

I did a few hours of reading on this site. All the cameras were set to h265/VBR. I changed them to h264/CBR and there's been a huge improvement in video quality. I'm essentially back to where I was prior to upgrades.

Kind of baffled why a company would release a firmware that actually reduces video quality. But here we are.

Thank you. I'll give this a shot and see what I do.
