is there any opensource or universal firmware for NVR and IP Cameras ?

if not what is the method to find a matching firmware for ip cameras and NVR ?

If it is not broken do not fix it.

There are a huge number of posts on people that have bricked there nvr or camera attempting to up grade.

Each manufacturer does there own thing.

For Dahua, there is a vendor here who posts the latest firmware for popular models.
