Not sure if you are taking suggestions, but something I've asked OpenALPR to add countless times is to let me set rules to highlight certain vehicles. If there were a way to set rules like in Excel, oh lawd.

Paper Plates (Begins with a number here in TX) = RED
Someone I tag as good = GREEN
General reads = WHITE/Unchanged
Car that shows up 6+ times in an hour = RED
Car that has never been seen in the last 60 days = ORANGE
Tagged Police/Security Cars = PURPLE

Also, question. Is there anything from stopping me from adding another camera to get the on screen information?

I have this overview camera, having the plate on THIS shot makes more sense in my use case than the LPR camera

Yeah I have the overlays pushed to my overview camera and not my LPR cam.

Sweet! What about maybe an overview page that sums up the plate counts so that you could see at a glance that XYZ plate came in 128 times and ABC plate came in 1 time?

Are the images being stored in the container data folder, or do they just link back to OpenALPR? Just wondering where I should allocate storage

Does that mean on the $5 plan I'll lose all my old images? Or do they hang around forever in there until they hit the storage quota?

Online they are only stored 5 days on the $5 plan.

But on the agent they are stored forever? The entire reason I'm running this is to get around the 5 day retention

i thought the images are always stored on the agent, no images are moved to the cloud. that's why if the websocket is disabled images stop showing up in the UI.

That would make sense, because if I reboot the agent, the cloud images don't load

In that case, I sure hope the agent stores them longer than 5 days

it probably stores them up until your local agent runs out of allocated space.

I guess I need to bite the bullet and sign up for the trial and give this a shot LOL.

That was why I went with Plate Recognizer initially was that it was images that came from Blue Iris and I could pull the plates from log files for historical purposes.

But without actually trying this application yet, just from what I am reading it appears to possibly be a better system with the modifications that @mlapaglia is making and continues to make!

You set the image size allocation on the OpenALPR dashboard under Configuration -> Agents -> Configure. It defaults to 8GB of images. You can increase it to whatever you want so long as you have the storage available.Screenshot from 2021-01-21 21-48-41.png
