Running several La View LVPB912F4C cameras (firmware 5.4.5 build 170309), and some LVPB3140WC cameras (firmware 5.4.4 build 170419) through a La View LVN9808C8E NVR (firmware 3.4.82 build 170301), all with a similar issue with the On Screen Display of Date/Time and Name.

Has anyone been able to find a way to change some of the OSD parameters like font size or color or display mode? I've only been able to change the date format/camera name and drag those two around the screen - any other changes, whether done at the NVR, or logging into the NVR (or into the cameras directly) from a browser, and the cameras report back "Invalid Parameter!"

I find it really annoying that the OSD flashes from black to white and back with background video level changes. Ideally, I'd like a smaller font inside a solid or 50% transparent rectangle.

I'm sorry but I don't have an answer to your question but I am interested in where you found the LVN9808C8E NVR firmware (3.4.82 build 170301) as I don't see it listed on the Laview website. The one posted for this NVR is from 2016.

    Thanks.

I bought the package at the end of February from NewEgg, and it came with that version installed. When I tell it to go online and look for an update, it says I have the current version. Have you tried doing an update from the NVR System menus?

Also, I've been led to believe that emailing tech support (such as it is) at La View will sometimes get them to send you an update file you can load from a USB stick. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the quick reply. Hadn't thought of checking thru the NVR as I have always just checked the website. Also good point about an email to Laview support - if nothing shows up in the update check I'll try that route.

Just a quick update for anyone with this particular NVR. I did contact Laview regarding the latest firmware. They did send me Version 3.4.93 Build 170816. Not sure why they don't post recent updates (although I expect providing new software results in more support calls).

Haven't flashed as of yet since they initially just sent a file and I had to send a second note to get the version information.
