out of focus

brf - ive got just green lines but it does record & retrieve people & vehicles ?

OK, not sure how unless its a newer NVR with the AcuPick stuff on it. But I don't know why it would be any different exporting a clip?

So show your playback/Search screen. Why cant you download a clip?

haven’t analyzed it.
It’s worked fine for 12 years…?

Think it has to do with manually recording a clip of a live scene on phone

that should be just main recording f/t & sub not record at all , will amend , but more pressing problem , i am getting dark grey horizontal bars rising up the screen , which i thought could be resolved by changing exposure/antiflicker from outdoor to 5ohz , but that then removes shutter manual mode with shutter & gain variables !!!

I thought the sub recording was for multicam viewing during playback so it doesn't choke on X number of mainstreams trying to display simultaneously.

Do not use antiflicker - it addition it limits the shutter to not go faster than typical LED frequencies. You won't be able to go faster than 1/100 or 1/120 depending on frequency you select.

Much better to play with shutter speed to mitigate the flicker.

Could be. I recall Nayr and a guy from Nellys recommending it on my first system in 2012?2014

The way I have it set it say Record the Substream full time in addition to the Main stream.

I'll turn it off and see but I think the last time I did that I save like almost 0 space for some reason on the HD so I turned it back on

Rolling shutter due to not enough light. The newer Dahua cameras (last 2-3 years) seem to have more of a problem with it

is there some way of doing speeds to a variable /multiple of 5o to mitigate ? ie 50hz
No you would have to set up multiple profiles and force a shutter speed instead of a range.

Or live with the flicker. I have one camera I cant mitigate it from and I remind myself I am not making a Hollywood movie and the flicker doesn't impact the clean capture of a perp.

i "think" this only happened since i moved from a solo cam to a 2nd one. also of note , if i put the cams bespoke settings you all suggested early in favour of default, the problem goes ! thoughts ?

Rolling shutter has nothing to do with multiple cameras. Its due to a fast shutter in low light conditions. At some exposure point, the cameras struggle to keep up

It can also be induced by bad settings, like using Shutter Prio, or the incorrect settings using antiflicker

Without video with specific settings its impossible to say what any given scene problem is or the exact solution

I've never had sub stream recording, but I have no clue what it exactly does either, so

It clearly records the substream 24/7

The question is do you need it?

I turned it off at 3pm so we’ll test and see in a bit
