I am planning on running some ethernet outside my house to add some additional cameras. I have done some research and found these 2 cables set, cat 6 is probably an overkill for a poe camera but its just a few more bucks and future-proves it.

I will be installing the along the brick and in some instances along the gutters

Unfortunately not many options out there that are white however I found these two.

trueCABLE Cat6 Direct Burial, 1000ft

The only difference I see between the two is that 1 is gel filled and while the other had water proof tape wrapped around. Any recommendations on which I should use or some other cable with certain features I should be looking for?

Thanks in advance

Since you're not direct-burying it anyway, I'd go with #2, the waterproof tape wrap....the gel is SUPER MESSY.

Also, the specs on #2 are great for your application: "UV resistant jacket designed to withstand sunlight, dirt, snow, and moisture. Rugged and durable for extreme environments " and the conductor is solid (not stranded), pure copper (not CCA) .

I have it in Black cat5e Direct burial-from the same company. Good quality copper. all my runs worked on first termination. ( except the one i Miswired) :)

The second cable you listed above I used last week when installing a Color 4K-X outside. It has been working flawlessly. I used 3/4" schedule 40 PVC for the run and then some flexible PVC to connect to the camera's backbox on a metal post. Really good cable and easy to snake through the PVC without using any lubricant. Just one thing to be aware of is that the copper conductors are larger than the regular cables. I purchased some Cat6/6A Unshielded RJ45 Pass Through Connectors (MDPPTRJ45) from the TrueCable site. My regular pass-through plugs that I always use for Cat6 cable would not work, as the conductors would not pass through the holes.
