Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a new Hikvision DS-7616MXI-I2/16P/S NVR. Ive got 7 Hikvision cameras hooked directly up to the NVR using Plug and Play and they are working fine. I have a single Pakedge camera (rebranded Lilin) hooked to the NVR POE but I can seem to get it to work. In the NVR Camera Configuration I did a Manual record using ONVIF with the 192.168.254.6 address. I verfied on the Pakedge camera that ONVIF is enabled and I used the ONVIF tool to verify it was working without issue. The error message the NVR is giving is

D5IPCamera 05192.168.254.6180StrongOffline(Stream type from the IP camera is not supported)ONVIF

I double checked that the IP Camera is set for h.264 encoding, but Im not sure what else might be the issue here. The Pakedge camera is a 4MP CK-CAM-BU8442Z.

Here is a pic of the Pakedge video settings.

Is the RSTP URL shown in your post #2 image the same URL shown by ODM at bottom right when in "Live Video" ?

In the table above, is "80" referring to port 80?

What happens when you open a network stream in VLC if you use the correct RTSP URL with ":554", like "rtsp:/192.168.254.6:554/stream0" ?

NOTE: Be sure to use 2 "/" after "rstp:", as the forum software won't allow 2 to be posted consecutively.

Correct. ODM shows the rtsp link you mentioned. Correct 80 refers to port 80, management port. Ive also tried creating a customer protocol on the NVR and specificing the RTSP URL with port 554, however this still doesn't work in the NVR

But does VLC stream that URL?

For the Custom protocol, the URL should be either
/stream0
or
/stream1

With the port set as 554, and the IP address as is set on the camera.

At this point I think I am just going to flash the cam with the Lilin firmware and see if that changes anything, and if not just swap the cam with another Hikvision cam.
