Got a panoeagle 8mp camera that is "Hik Compatible"
I am trying to connect it to my Hikvision NVR (DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P)
The cameras network settings are statically set to
IP: 192.168.254.8
SUBNET: 255.255.255.0
GATEWAY: 192.168.254.1 (Interface IP of the Hikvision "Camera" subnet)

Here is a diagram to explain
Essentially, Direct connect camera to d8 on NVR = abnormal network
connect camera -> poe switch -> d8 on NVR = ONLINE
I cant figure out why it would work via switch, there are no other devices on the switch, its unmanaged, essentially a direct connection still
The only things i can come up with is perhaps an interface speed mismatch (should be 10/100 i assume, or "auto") or a PoE mismatch of sorts
Any thoughts?

- Checked all network settings
- Confirmed HIK Connect is enabled, port 8000
- Tried ONVIF and RTSP also (same error - network abnormal)
- Updated camera firmware
- factory reset it
