We currently have a system with an i7-3770, 16GB RAM running 12 cameras(A mix of Xioayi and Logitech 720p). We have a 3TB and a 10TB drive in the machine currently that records around 7 months worth of continuous footage.
We are looking at getting 8 new 2560x1440 cameras to run on this system.
Assuming 2 scenarios.
Using both the 12 cameras we currently have with the 8 new cameras added:
1) Would the CPU be adequate?
2) How long would you estimate our storage would be able to record continuous footage?
Using only the 8 new cameras
1) Would the CPU be adequate?
2) How long would you estimate our storage would be able to record continuous footage?
Is there anything else that we need to keep in mind when setting this up?
