Hello.

I have one issue with my new video system. NVR is DVR DS-7608NI-K2/8P and i have 6 cameras on it DS-2CD2183G0-I.
NVR have and when i open in web browser nvr configuration panel cameras on nvr have ip yyy.2 to 7
Under picture setting on nvr I can adjust only few settings. My question is how can go directly to each camera login to each camera over camera ip in internet browser so that I can adjust all picture setting which camera have?

I don't use a NVR, I use a PC with Blue iris VMS but I believe that on page that shows the active cameras look to the far right...there should be a blue "e" symbol that should open each cam's webGUI with a browser using that cam's IP when you click on it.

The Hikvision NVR equivalent -
In the NVR web GUI, Network | Advanced settings - enable 'Virtual Host'.
Then, under System | Camera Settings, click the link for the camera in question under the 'Connect' column at the far right.
This will open the default browser direct to the camera web GUI, via the NVR.

The new issue which I have is that cameras are 8MP and my home internet upload is limited to 5Mp so on mobile phone HikConnest app I cant get fluent live stream of cameras on HD, only on low resolution but with 640x480 is so low quality on phone.
Is there any option that main stream only for HikConnect can be adjust for example on 4MP and for NVR is still 8MP for high quality recording purpose?

On the app HD is the Clear option.

Yes I know that and it works ok when phone is on home network connected, but when I am out of home and mobile is on mobile network, then I have problem with limitations of home internet upload speed which is 5Mb and cams are 8Mb. Solution will be if it is somehow possible to adjust nvr that I get live stream on phone in HD mode for example in 1-2Mb cam picture resolution.

What are the results of viewing the HD video on the phone using WiFi vs cellular data while offsite?

It can be seen only when I use wifi, and in that case quality is perfect. On celular, I can use only standard.

Just to be clear when you’re off site and connected through WiFi you can see HD video of your home. But when you use cellular data off site you can only use SD - correct?

Yes, correct.
Problem is my home internet upload limit of 5Mb by internet provider.

Based on your reply it’s not your homes upload speed vs your cellular data plan. Your reply indicated while off site and using say your companies internal WiFi you can view HD video.

But, when you switch to cellular data only SD video can be seen. That would indicate your data plan needs to be reviewed - no?!?

Keeping in mind we haven’t even addressed how you’re connecting from your home to your cell.

VPN, P2P, Port Forwarding . . .

I am not expert for IT, NVR is connected with phone app by QR code... I still think that is upload speed problem, because when I change main stream on camera to lower resolution than I dont have problem on phone app in HD mode when phone used cellular data plan.

Let’s try this one more time.

When you’re at work using the companies WiFi. Can you in fact see HD video on the Hik-Connect application?!?

Meaning cellular data is turned off on the phone and the camera is left in 4K (8 MP)?

If the answer is (Yes) this points to a different issue. If the answer is (No) then I agree it could be a bandwidth issue. But one single camera isn’t going to saturate your upload assuming it’s just the one camera and nothing else is uploading in your home.

Regardless, once you answer that question there are a few things you can try. Such as change the bit rate from CBR vs VBR. Adjusting the upper and lower bit rate. Using H.265+ vs H.265 compression and not any flavour of H.264.

You may also try using the other four apps such as iVMS-4500, EZVIZ, any other third party application.

Lastly, just for (testing) if you set up VPN / Port Forwarding to a single camera. If you’re able to view a single camera in HD using the internal web page through a browser on a PC without any changes over an extended period of time.

This will indicate the problem lies elsewhere.

Problem is solved. With iVMS-4500 on phone, it works perfect. Thank you for support!
