POE Alarm/Siren?

Hey,

I've got this hikvision rebrand: NDK800 4K 16 Channel 6 Camera PoE Dual Lens Security System - ANNKE Store

I want to make sure I wake up when my zones are intruded upon.

My phone isn't always annoying enough to wake me up. And the internal speaker on the NVR isn't loud enough to reach my bedroom from its location.


I tried looking but I'm not finding what I want. Can anyone suggest the best approach?

I'm looking for a simple/cheap POE speaker/siren that would get picked up in the NVR's config and I could set it up to ring in certain events.

There's also some oldschool looking green 4-in ALARM interface on the back of the NVR. I looked at some youtube videos and am not sure that this is what I need.

There's also an Audio Out on the back, so I bought an electronic buzzer for it which I am waiting to be delivered, we'll see if that even works.

Can anyone suggest hardware that would fit my use case?

If your NVR has an Alarm output then you could always use a 12v car alarm siren with a 12v power supply and use the output to sound an alarm.. You are aware what your are asking for? I mean I hope you are selective on the cameras alarms you are going to have alert you. I say this because without a good AI setup or an area with little to no known traffic motion alerts will alert you on anything.. Now if you have Ai camera with Human or Vehicle settings then that could work. Then have it setup to only go off at times you want..

Best bet would be use a 12v car alarm siren and a 12v power supply to the NVRs alarm output and setup selective cameras to trigger it..

Right, I have the AI one and really nice zones set up. The problem is tweakers have taken over the streets and I don't want them sneaking up on me while I'm sleeping. And also there are some people of questionable character that are mad with me and in case they try anything crazy I want to be awake and be ready.

But I don't always get woken up by the phone alarm. I want to wake up 100% with a loud noise that has my blood pumping.

Yeah as I said best thing is to setup your alarm out to trigger an alarm in doors so you know when your tripwire or Intrusion has been tripped.
