Poe Switch Installation

Hello Gents
I want to know if is a good idea to install a Poe Switch under my Cover Patio in my back yard, there is no leaks on the patio roof.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Personally, I would not put it outside. Heat, cold, humidity, dew, etc will not be good for it.

You forgot the insects.

indoors is best. If you must put one outside there are some specialized outdoor models, but sometimes they use odd versions of PoE that won't work with most cameras.
