Pole mounting options for PTZ?

I have a 4x4 8ft tall wooden post cemented into the ground and i have a weather station mounted on a pole that is attached to it. The problem is the pole that the weather station is mounted to is way to small for the pole mount bracket i bought with the HD PTZ camera.

I would just buy a larger pole but the weather station can not accept a larger diameter pole. I think the PTZ needs a 5-6" diameter pole See pics below.

Any suggestions?

Can you get a piece of metal to mount the camera to then mount the metal piece to the pole with straps

First off I notice the bird spikes are not working out too well.... :laugh:

Second, why not just mount the camera to the wooden part of the pole? Looks like it is only a couple of feet lower than the pole anyway? My PTZ cameras a temp installs as the only place I use them is at construction sites and we use 4x4 poles and mount to those ourselves actually.
