Hi all, I've just installed a HFW5442E-ZE at the side of my house where it is looking down a long but narrow stretch of area. I was advised here that I could put this camera into "portrait" mode to best cover this area but I'm not sure quite how to do that. Physically, the camera is installed the right way up. In the settings, under 'Condition' and then 'Picture' sub-menu I see a drop down called 'Flip' where I have options for 90, 180 or 270 degrees but that literally rotates the image so that doesn't do what I want.

Am I missing something here?

You also need to rotate the camera, itself, to obtain the view required.
Right, but then with this particular camera not being uniform all the way round it'll look strange rotated 180 degrees...not that there is anything I can do about it!

I think you mean 90 degrees. Who cares as long as it is giving you the FOV you need.
Yes sorry you're right, I meant 90 degrees. I'll experiment with how it looks rotated and then decide I guess. Thanks all!
