Having trouble telnet connecting to cam. Search suggests I need to enable telnet on the cam itself under the setting somewhere, but damned if I can find the setting anywhere to enable it. Firmware 5.3.6 on the DS 2CD335 I cam. Also verifying that the port access is 8000?
Possible to send emails by camera connected to NVR?

If you are able to reach, via the web browser, the camera's config. (virtual host in NVR), enable the NTP on the camera (you can set the NTP server which you prefer), and use the 'test' button, if test result ok, then you should also be able to send the mails.

It has been reported in this forum that the telnet has been removed from the 2CD2335. There may be other ways to connect to the camera like psh. This is in an effort of HIKVision to protect their intellectual rights (i.e. firmware) from being copied and reversed engineered by their copiers .... fellow Chinese companies!!
