Hello.
I want to buy 3 ip camer and one router with POE.

And not evetyhtink is clear for me with power via POE
The MAN for ip camera there is informaction:
Supply:
  • POE
  • Supply power 12V DC

I was looking for some routers with POE technology, and i found many of them with poe 48v and just few with poe 12v.
In MAN for camera there is no informaction of what type of poe camera need.

So here is my question.
Routers with POE (48 or 12 vdc) are compatibil eith any camera suporting poe?
Router POE 48VDC will working good with camers POE/12vdc??
I dont want to use any adds converters 48vdc to 12 vdc.

Please give my your opinion

The standard for PoE is 48VDC. The 12 volt DC supply is for externally powering a camera if not using PoE and is not related to PoE in any way. The camera actually contains voltage regulators that take either the 48VDC from PoE, or the 12 volt DC auxiliary, power and convert it to whatever the camera actually needs to operate with.

It is easier to find a switch that supports POE. There are not very many routers that support POE. I recommend buying a Router that supports OpenVPN, and a switch that support POE. OpenVPN is used to provide remote secure access to your home network and cameras.
