Hi..

Can someone assist with a PTZ control issue ??

I have a Hikvision cam, DS2CV2Q01FD, that is a PTZ model. I can operate the PTZ via iSpy and iVMS4200

I've set it up in BI as a Generic/ONVIF model and the Find/inspect returns that it is a PTZ camera.

All the normal camera functions are OK - I get good image/colour.

Under the PTZ/Control tab it is set as ONVIF (OXML) with PTZ controls enabled.. - Ive tried the other two potential Hikvision entries but to no benefit.

However I cannot control it via BI. The main desktop display has the controls greyed out. UI3 indicates the controls being pushed but nothing happens.

A network trace shows noting being sent to the camera. However when operating via iSpy I see the http/xml commands being sent.

Is there something simple being missed here ? - Anything else needs to be set to send the commands ovr http ?

Many Thanks for assistance ..

The controls should not be grayed out if you have clicked/selected the camera in the live view interface - even with the wrong ptz settings. If that is the case, and the ptz is enabled in the ptz tab, delete the camera and start over.

Hi - thanks for the reply..

Ok took you advice - deleted the camera, Added a new one, did a find/inspect. Enabled PTZ. And...

Still PTZ is greyed out - so no PTZ controls.. Are there any logs generated generated during the find/inpect routine or some form of debug logging ??

Thanks !

its got nothing to do with find inspect...even if you select the completely wrong camera the ptz controls will not be grayed out if you enable ptz in the camera properties.
Ensure you are logged in to windows as an administrator.
