Hello folks,

I have a few Dahhua cameras that are "ghosting" in PTZ mode. When I move the camera around, the image gets "left behind" a bit and it is distorted looking.

What information do you need more from me?

Main Stream:
H 264B
Smart Codec Off
Res: 1920*1080
30 FPS (I can't lower this, it's 30 FPS or higher by state law for casinos)
CBR
4096 bit rate
30 I Frame
SVC 1(off)

The camera is in a low light area with a lot of slot machines with their lights going.

I cannot provide a screenshot due to the state regulations against it.

Other PTZs in the area are fine and they share the same settings from what I can tell.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What exact model?

If the sensor is under-sized for the megapixel rating then under the reduced lighting the shutter speed is likely so slow that you get blur and ghosting with movement.

BTW, have you tried the DNR setting as you did for the same "ghosting" issue in Dec. of 2023 as below?

Shutter speed (at least 1/60 -120), DNR, and lack of light.

Those 3 things are the primary concerns for eliminating ghosting/motion blur.

It sounds like you may be trying to run color with too slow of a shutter and maybe too much DNR.
It takes a lot of ambient light to run color, you may just not have enough. Have you tried B&W using IR?

I'm so sorry. I knew I had posted that question before. I searched and couldn't find it. I should had looked in my previous posts.

The 2D/3D was the fix I was looking for. Going to add that to my notes.

I really appreciate it and sorry for the double post here.
