PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR

Haven't set it up yet bc its crappy here today but happy that at least, its a different FW than your original one that was an issue.

Its not fixed yet.

It still tracks car, trash cans, and the occasional alien.
It also "hunts" a lot and misses targets after being activated - just misses, like someone shooting a rifle that hasnt been zero'd. Seeing a target at 50 yds and then when pulling the trigger misses by 5ft, most often to the left

The image is better by virtue of the sensor, yes
All set up. So far I love it. Seems to ignore trash cans but still kind of considers mailbox posts as ppl. One thing that is puzzling me is how to fix the object closer to the center when tracking. It is kind of slow and initially tracks the rear of a car. Tried reducing target size to 28 but it still does it. Any tips?

It tends to miss left when acquiring even after initial activation and fades after acquisition to the left a LOT

Faster targets of course make this worse.

As close as you are it won’t be too bad.

My Ptz is now giving me random disconnect errors and stuttering issues on Blue Iris playback. Hope its not end of life coming soon. I had it on a 5 port poe+ switch in my shop since I purchased it. I have it now ( last 3 weeks) powered by the DC power brick that came with it. Same errors. New 8' of 6e cable coming soon.
Any word on newer firmware be available?

Have you tried a factory reset and set up by scratch?

Do you have an SD card in the camera to confirm it is a camera issue and not BI issue (perhaps from an update)?

Thank goodness the ptz is fine, I "think" the switch I had in my shop was acting up because of the heat. That switch is also installed a hundred feet away from my main switch inside my home. I bought a ubiquity switch this time, as I recently bought a Dream Machine Pro, and am going to eventually transition over to a unify system. Put a new cable over to the camera also. Now I'm back to rain barrels and tall plants giving me fits. :D
