PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR

What is your Traget size? I had to set mine to 50 to get any zoom, my 6 series was about 33
 
It's all in my post.

The IVS rules when parked on the left are set to 36. When it's called to the rules on the right, it's 60.

The mini was 32-34.

I'm seeing small improvement on close in targets, say 30-50ft, but longer range and low light has not improved.

Pretty disgusted with it overall for the price and may try to revive the 6 series even though the image sucked, it least it tracked great
 
For my first big camera purchase, I am not overly impressed either.

Is there anything Andy can do with a FW update? It looks like he has tagging turned off.

Mini-PTZ was 32-34 on ratio. With the new one, it makes no sense (Left FOV is 36, right call-to FOV is 60). It will start OK, then as the subject walks down the sidewalk, getting further away, it will zoom OUT. It is also nowhere near as smooth with the tracking as the mini was. It's almost as if it moves, stops, moves, stops and doesn't fluidly track the person or keep them in the middle of the FOV. It seems to do better with slightly faster moving targets and struggles with the slower ones.

Night focus has also been less than stellar.

I think the new PTZ is showing the substream?
 
if this PTZ model behave bad (we have here confirmation from many users), You should ask Andy to report this to Dahua...

Also ask Andy to check for custom firmware version for this PTZ.

SD5 is very popular line (something comparable to WizMind-S in fixed cams) - I'm 100% sure, there are many CUSTOM firmwares done by Dahua in past for this line / model to add or solve many problems reported by different users...

Me too, gonna try another factory default, if that doesn’t help I may have to return it.
