I have all my cameras and Blue Iris on the 192.168.4.0 network, and for years have only used one workstation to view or review footage. I just recently decided to use the BI server on my 192.168.1.0 primary LAN so that my other devices can have access to the feeds by installing a USB NIC dongle. I didn't realize before that this setup was possible. I have firewall rules for MAC and IP addresses that won't allow cameras or the .40 network to access the WAN. Even though the BI host could bridge the .1.0 and .4.0 networks. Does this seem secure? My primary concern was Chinese cameras possibly attempting to establish connections outside my network.
