Question on BI Alert History & Stored Alerts

Hi,

I'm trying to get a handle on my alerts & have started troubleshooting - before now it was set at limit size of 1gb.
From what I can see there is only exactly 3 days of alerts i can select from via the date picker


Below you can see my settings for the alerts folder (i have bumped it upto 4gb size)


I have 2 questions
1. Why cant I use the picker & see alerts from weeks ago (the alerts should be in the Stored folder & therefore should still be accessible as alerts?)
2. Would there be any other reason besides the limit size setting that might be limiting me to only 3 days of alerts?

the alert folder will only be used when storing high res alerts...ensure you have allocated enough space in your new/stored folders..
