Raspberry pi as dash cam

Looking for a tutorial of pointer in a pi project which allows you to auto upload files and record with push of a button. I just want a green or red ledntp light up when recording and a button to shut down. Do not want a screen. Any ideas?

Tried raspberry pi dash cam. Most were from 2013 and from Europe it looked like. I'll try those search words tho thanks

What is the problem from being 2013 and Europe ? using GPIO of a Raspi (from shell or Python) and connect a push button and two LEDs did not change since then ;-)

And when I do a quick search I see recent articles
