My IP2M-841B-V3 occasionally connects directly to the distant router instead to the near repeater.

This can be fixed by a cam reboot, but as the signal is very poor now, it is a torture to go thruogh the menus in order to trigger the reboot.

Is there some shortcut url containing ip, userid and password to directly start a reboot bypassing the menus?

If possible, consider lowering the power on the distant router's wifi. This might prevent the need to reboot

From the Amcrest HTTP API Guide...

4.6.24 Reboot

Syntax http://<server>/cgi-bin/magicBox.cgi?action=reboot[&delay=<paramValue>]

Description: Reboot the device
Example:
Success Return: OK

The example doesn't show including credentials in the command, but that can be done replacing the ipaddress with:

<userid>:<password>@<ip_address>/cgi-bin/...

Great! Thank you! Exactly, what I was looking for.

Just tried it but passing the credentials didn't work. Was prompted for userid and pw, but with the option, to save the password.
I remember, that windows or the browser does no longer allow passing ui&pw that way for security reasons.

Did you try this:

Syntax http://<userid>:<password>@<serverip>/cgi-bin/magicBox.cgi?action=reboot[&delay=<paramValue>]

Where <userid> is the userid, and same for password?

I just learned from AVM, that WLAN Mesh Steering could be used with the Fritz!Box, if the cams would support WLAN-Standards 802.11k and 802.11v .
Unfortunately the don't.
