I'm looking for a camera to mount on the exterior wall of my house.
This is a brick wall and I can't make the UTP connection on the inside of the house.
There is an UTP cable in place.
So I'm looking for a compact camera that has the UTP connection on the inside so I don't need a junction box.
All cameras that I find have the UTP connection on the outside of the camera, so you either have to make the connection on the inside of the house or you need to install a junction box.
The Unifi G3 is perfect for this! Perfect form factor AND UTP connection on the inside.
BUT they are a bit more expensive, video quality is less and I was planning on using Synology Surveillance Station which makes the extra cost of the camera not worth it.
Are there other cameras like the Unifi G3 out there? I also would consider a dome camera if that means I can cover the cables.
