Recording 2 zones, but only alerting on 1?

So I want to record all the traffic in Zone A, but only get alerts on objects in Zone B. I've setup the 2 zones and tried setting the alerts for only Zone B, but I end up getting nothing. It does appear the Zone A recordings are happening. Any tips on getting to my goal of recording these 2 areas and only getting alerts for Zone B? Thanks for any help.

Just delete the street zone, enable full screen motion and record motion and intelligent record. Or make one a tripwire and one an intrusion.
