Region Entrance and Exit Detection for Animals

Hi,

I am trying to set region entrance and exit detection for an area but for animals not humans or vehicles.
If I untick both boxes it does not detect anything.
How can I set it to detect anything bigger than a minimum size?

It requires:

NDA electronic signed on tpp.hikvision.com to access documentation
Dataset of animal images compiled and compressed to the model
Applying Heop APP to hikvision serie 3 camera or serie 7 deepinview camera.

Voila you have your own detection algorithm


There could be done datasets for some animals out there and could be used with yoloV8, but i believe it was done for dogs and cats only. There could be an algorithm that detects any living being but with a rule to filter out human/vehicle dataset, but not that i know of . You should google yolov8 target detections

Thank you. That sounds great but I think is a bit overkill for what I want to do. I do not want to rule out humans. I just want to detect anything that enters the area or crosses the line.
Maybe I should just try motion detection... Although I will give the other option a try.
