Hi,
I am often facing a problem where a system with large number of cameras (30+) must be displayed on two or more FHD monitors.
I usually use Hikvision/Dahua solutions. They both have a free app to display cameras. Very effective way is to use Dahua decoders next to SmartPSS station, but thats expansive.
Using SmartPSS or iVMS alone can kill an i7/16GB/Quadro machine.
I wonder whats more important: GPU memory size, number of cores? Never had a chance to do lots of tests. I am planning to and I will share results, but it would be good to know the direction.

We started using i-7s and were seeing the same thing. Try using a workstation with dual xenon processors. Streaming video using a lot of processing power.

heard Ryzen 1800X and new i7 with 6C/12T works better. Dual Xeon workstation is a killer when it comes to price. Someone paying 150 USD for a camera will never pay for a monster like that :)

sorry to bump that up, but does anyone else had some adventures with SmartPSS or iVMS handling live view of 30+ cameras?
