Thanks toubnpast of slickdeals who provided videos for review from Reolink RLC-811A Night Time / Low Light image capture.

Video here:

The RLC-811A is a 8MP camera, some of the screen grabs I am doing will be at a lower resolution - so please do check the original video on a "4k" screen for more clear results .. remember also youtube may compress some of the elements also, so this will not be as perfect of a comparison as I would like.

Notice the nice crisp lines on the objects which are not moving in this IR Led view ..

The white fuzzy moving object is probably a moth or similar ..

Here the lights have kicked in ..

We got a good solid image capture here .. though notice the moving foot is still blurry ..

Reolinks can produce nice stationary images.

That is a nice clean image of the Nike shoe but the rest of the body in motion is poor. But that is a great image of the shoe!

But what perp stops long enough.

This camera does appear though in the right field of view that in color in stands a better chance than in IR to get a frame or two of usable video.

But it had a lot of things going right for it as well in the field of view - optimal height, lots of white to reflect/bounce light off of, and subject not moving very fast. I think in a field of view without that much reflective surroundings, the results would be a lot different.

I think the major difference is that if a Dahua/Hikvision is tuned to produce good video and captures under the worst circumstances the video and captures under good conditions are outstanding. Reolink will wash out under those kinds of good conditions.
