I recently purchased a Hikvision DS-7716NI-I4/16P which is extremely noisy. I wish I knew before I purchased it, I did plenty of research before I purchased it but didn't think to research the fan noise.
It was probably more than I required for a home security system. Now I'm stuck with it, I can't return it as I purchased it from China through aliexpress.
I'd be interested in replacing the fans if it would cut the noise down, it sounds like I'm in a server room. I notice this thread is over a year old. Have there been any further advances in replacing the fans since the above was written? Are there even quieter fans that have since been developed? Any that can be just replaced with the same plugs without the need for adapters, speed reducers, etc.
I'm no electronics expert, so any advice or instruction would be appreciated.
