Hi, I have struggled for weeks trying to replace a faulty camera with a new dahua ipc-hdw2441t-s 4mp ip camera. I have an old dahua dhi-nvr4208-8p. I managed to connect to the new camera with a PC using IE and also initialize the camera with ConfigTool. I keep getting Conf.LoginErrorNo-20 and I do understand this error means combability issue with new camera and old NVR and perhaps a new firmware will do the trick. The current firmware I have is 3.201.0000.1.R / 2016-04-09 Build date / 3.1.0.65833 Web. Just wondering if anyone has any experience and solution for this issue. TIA

if the NVR is from 4ks2 line (check the sticker), it can be upgraded to 210713 firmware.

if something older (like 4k), then sorry.. You must invest into a new NVR (actual models are 4xxx-EI and 5xxx-EI, but on some markets called -AI)...
The sticker only shows "Network Video Recorder DHI-NVR4208-8P". Is there anywhere else that would give any indication if the NVR is upgradable with 210713 firmware?

You can try navigate over NVR menus and check what exactly version you have.
But in 99% cases you have very old version, which don’t even support 4K resolution over hdmi (so no 4k or 4ks2 suffix)
Dahua don’t supports that old versions, No way to find firmware for them
