Review Dahua OEM SD22204UE-GN by EmpireTech Andy

How does the IVS for this IPC work, does it support object detection - vehicle/human (like the 5442) or its naive IVS like 2431 (the old model)?
IVS on the SD22204UE does not have AI like the 5442 series. It's the same as the 2431, meaning they are more susceptible to false alerts with things like clouds, shadows or moving leaves. Also, the SD22204UE does not have IR, so they must be used in a fairly well lit area. I run mine full color all the time, as I am lucky enough to have nice LED Street lights where I have mine.

What conduses me is that the specs says face detection. What does it mean?
Face detection is included under the EVENT tab, along with HEAT MAP and ABNORMALITY. These options are not part of AI (HUMAN or VEHICLE) detection which allow for reducing false alarms, but are part of the older (or less expensive) cameras. AI level cameras will include these options, also. HUMAN and VEHICLE options are under IVS, to help with what has been called Perimeter Protection.

According to the specs this camera is suitable for outdoors (IP66 rating).
Will the dome withstand direct sun light? or it will become opaque (over time) like a car headlights?

Not sure about the dome becoming opaque over time, like a headlight. I have had 1 of these mounted under an eave on the garage for a few years now, with no issues. Keep in mind this camera has no IR, so unless you have good lighting, this is not recommended for night use. My location has an LED street light about 45 feet away, so I have a color image 24/7.
