Review- EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-AS-S3 2.8mm turret fixed lens

Got a little improvement with the Gain boost.. It was set at 45 so i bumped it to 55. Shutter is still 0-16. Looks like lowering it using some conduit and a junction box might be what i have to do or just live with it. Going to try and get the city to put in a street light first.. There is a pole and electricity already there so its a possibility.

Still the camera is good for ID to about the back bumper of the truck.
If you want further ID distance, you need another camera with higher zoom lens

Also I find anything slower than 0-8.33 (1/120th) is going to blur on motion close up. Try walking past the camera say 10ft out.

Do you have garage coach lights that can be turned on?

Of course more light of any kind, coupled with 1/1.2" sensors always helps

I will try a walking test and see how much blur there is. The coach lights are on in that video, they are just really weak lights that im going to change with something a little stronger.
The cameras are at my sisters house that we have been remodeling so im usually gone by dark and just having to try a setting then check the over night videos to see the differences. Its possible i could switch to 0-8 and not darken the pic to much. Im just going to have to stay over there after dark and tinker around with the settings to see what will work. Thank you for helping!

If you cut it back from 16 to 8ms yes it will get darker

Put some 100W bulbs in those coach lights will help.

Its not bad, its about as expected for a 5442 2.8mm lens with IR and no street lights. Its fine as an overview camera, thats what its made for.

I'm just going back to your question, and that is mostly angle. Any light you add will help, but ideally you need another camera for more detail further out.
