Here is the Specification Sheet for this camera: Link

The smart motion detection does not work, as in does not filter out either humans or autos. Normal motion works as expected.
IVS AI works as it should. When recording to the SD card, there is a little over a one second pause in the video anytime a tripwire or intrusion zone is tripped. I do not see that pause in Blue Iris or on the live view.
The auto IR does not work as it should, wash's out faces.

The camera for whatever reason did not play nice with Blue Iris. Four times while attempting to record videos for this review, BI locked up. In 3 yrs of using BI, that's a first.
Now, it could very well be an issue with BI and the Aspect ratio of the camera or other issue's with Blue Iris.
I got tired of BI locking up, so some of the videos are from the SD card.
The two way audio works with Blue Iris. The speaker on the camera is fairly loud. Much louder than other active deterrence cams I've tested.
There are multiple choices for the audio that can be played by the cams speaker during an alarm trip. You can also add your own.

There are issue's when recording to the SD card.

You can choose to use just the IR, or just the white LED at night. You can select the white led to flash when motion is detected or to remain on.
There is a setting that is called Smart Illumination. When set, the camera does weird things with the IR lights and the white light, even while the cam is idle.

There is quit a bit of IR reflection on the dome, I tried to cure it to no avail. That's always one of the possible downsides to dome cameras.

Tearing occurs when I pass the tripwire.

The weird flickering of the IR and White light when set to Automatic Illumination

With camera triggered.

So is it just me, or is quality control really slipping at Dahua? Are these cameras not being tested by Dahua engineers before being put into distributor channels?
