Believe it or not, the SD1 in B/W was terrible. Played with the settings but the street was way too dark. Went back to colour after an hour.

Ok just a follow up on this..
1- the Schedule Task works great and if you have a scenario where you'd like the camera to use a different preset as its "home" for a period of time each day its a cool feature.
however....
2- I kinda knew in the back of my head it was too good to be true. While this worked well for the first night or two, it does lose focus and get blurry every once in a while. Cant fight the reality of the camera just not having enough light in my scenario to get a good consistent focus. If I was running a slower shutter or had enough light for color and to get a consistent focus of course it would work fine.
I'm really trying to use it in a way its just not designed for, so no fault of the camera. PTZs aren't the best thing for LPR
So interestingly I'm going back to the way I had it with the spotters activating it both directions. For some reason with it zooming to a preset it is always looking for a focus, and I have just enough light to allow it to find something in the two LPR capture zones. I get 100% in one direction and 90%+ good plates in the other. I can live with that.

Examples, not all perfect focus, but good enough. Some are better, they all get the job done

Those look better than a lot of people’s dedicated LPR cams. Probably better than most. lol
Look better than most of my LPR night captures.
Great shots that certainly benefits from the slower vehicle speed that allows a slower shutter to be ran in order to get a focus.
I can't get that with mine due to the speed of the vehicles.

Yup it’s all possible because if the low speed and that one street light that gives me just enough for it to find a decent focus.

Working on the tearing issue and losing slow walkers today.
I think it has to do with my IVS rules, spotters, and running SMD simultaneously with IVS. I’ve turned off SMD.

I’ve been using multiple rules. It actually works better for me in this scenario as I’m most concerned with direction.
Problem with zig zig, which I use in a lot of scenes, is you can no longer specify direction as one side of the zig is facing opposite the zag!

Explorer is still there and there are ways to get Explorer again.
The simple way is to change the BHO folder to another name like oldBHO and BAM Explorer is back...and this thread also shows other ways...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\110.0.1512.48\
Then change BHO to oldBHO or something else and Explorer will open

I'm not going to run IE since we saw earlier that the add-in installs a service running on your machine. Don't think there's any malicious intent but still not going to do it.
Other than using multiple rules, what I've done as a workaround is to first make an "L" for the larger outside HxW extent of the area. Then you can draw more lines within that.

This method is not working on Win 11 for me. Edge still opens up.
Creating a shortcut method on desktop with the mshta.exe javascript open close still works for me. And I only have to do it once not like the BHO file that you have to do it each time because window keep restoring the BHO folder.
I fixed some wierdness with ptz lag on this camera by grabbing the mcu file for the camera from dahuas site under the firmware tab. It updated the ptz core software to
