Has anyone ever pointed a camera straight up on the roof (sometimes called sky cam but googling that isn't very helpful).

The Dahua IPC EB5531 is a 5MP fisheye and I'm thinking of getting one and sticking it on top of my weather mast. Not worried about the software side but I'm curious if anyone has tried this and gotten anything decent for results.

Thx
Bob

Given the problems that domes have with fogging, from UV, as well as rain/dew condensation I'm not sure how well that would work out.

I'm contemplating using an old SV3C, 2MP, bullet as a sky cam by pointing it generally up towards the west. Even with the bullet it'll have problems with rain and snow. I just need to figure out how to get it mounted in the clear up there without making any holes.
