Router suggestions

We would like to run 6 Amcrest IP2M-841B-V3 through a dedicated router to an Amcrest NV4108 with a 2 terabyte HDD. Is this doable? If so, suggestions for a capable router to start with? We intend to have a static IP and DHCP disabled.

I have read the stickies and the help but remembering all of it is somewhat overwhelming. We're pretty technically savvy but not with cameras/surveillance. I know we should be using PoE but in this install it's impossible. It's also very likely that we will be moving in the next year or two and taking the system with us.
 
What is the distance between the cameras an the NVR ?
Are the cameras recording full time or on motion only?
If using internet between the two sites, what is your up and down speeds?

20-80 feet.
Full time.
Would only be using internet for notifications and remote login but it's pretty fast supposedly. Never checked our speeds. We have the second fastest cable internet that comcast sells in our area (Tuscaloosa, AL).
 
Why do you think you need a router ?
Are these hard wired or WIFI cameras ?
Are you using the router as an ACCESS point to provided WIFI services.

A router is used to connect to a modem then to the internet and provide DHCP services for a local network. A router can also provide WI-FI access to the local network.

Any Access point will work. Look at TPLINK. Or an old ASUS router, any router or access point that supports 2.4GHZ.

You connect the NVR to your local home network via a ethernet cable, Connect the access point to the local home network. Create a new SSID and unused channel(1,6,11) . Configure the access point. Connect and configure one camera at a time. Use the Ethernet cable to hardwire the camera. Then set the address in the camera to static and the wifi access.

You may have an WIFI traffic load with 6 wifi cameras.

The router was to be an access point for a dedicated network for the cameras/NVR the NVR is not wifi, it is hardwired.
