Teacher Preparation programs in colleges are busy indoctrinating socio-political ideology, and inferring that new teachers are OBLIGATED to reinforce those ideologies to k-12 students...
This is from a lesson plan prepared in such a program out of California using a state lesson plan template.... While this student teacher states the students can present two viewpoints, the implications of the foundational statement about "persistent racial injustices" seems to negate any consideration of any other perspectives.

Tonight I have a parent meeting at one of the high schools near here. Actually they aren't that close and I am wondering if the school did this on purpose or not. Regardless, Texas legislature passed Bill 1525:
'HB 1525 made several changes to the process by which school boards adopt sex education curriculum. School boards must adopt a formal policy establishing a process for the adoption of sex ed curriculum materials.'
So now the schools must present it to parents before teaching it, and then we can have our kids opt in or out of it. I will certainly be paying attention tonight to the 'curriculum'.
