Looks great. Do you know where to get that? I cannot seem to find any working firmware files.

I sent it to you via PM...use at your own risk.

I think there may be confusion about the hardware version. Tinman’s older version is 2018 whereas RyanMM and I have the older still 2015 hardware. We still need the 2.4xxx 2015-06-07 firmware.

To make a summarization of the confusion that is created by Dahau to use the same type number DH-SD22204T-GN for units that have different hardware revision, in this case the size of eeproms to store the firmware.
As mention by @Dave Lonsdale and @TVT73

The reason is simply a different hardware revision. Dahua has changed the flash room size for cam's build after 01.17. the older ones have only 16mb the new one 128mb.
They had also a different feature set. The newer one is capable of smart codec and easy4ip / P2P.
And both have a different factory firmware.

ftp:/ftp.asm.cz/Dahua/kamerove_systemy/_Firmware/05SD/PTZ%20firmware%20%20release%20record%2005.07.2017.xlsx
So cameras made before 2017-2 will have a smaller eeprom (16MB) and can not load any firmware file that is larger then 16MB.
I also have a camera with the smaller 16MB eeprom which has production date 2016-11:
sd22204T-GN_16Mb2.jpg

It only accepts firmware files which are around 13MB in file size: ( check also the filename part "Zi-Themis").

The Cameras which do have the 128MB eeprom can load larger firmware files: (check also the filename part "Mao-Themis").

Thank you all for the input for this clarification.

And to add to this there is a S1 and S2 version of the 128MP models. Mine being a S1 was my thinking this would be the right firmware. Now that we got that all straightened out LOL did we get anywhere?

Thanks all for contributing to this. I got my camera second hand and as it turns out it's the oldest version with 16mb so the newer firmwares won't work on this.

I updated it from the 2015-09-09 build to the 2016-05-17 build. Unfortunately it now no longer connects to the Imou Life app. So I'm looking to downgrade again. Anyone has the older firmware to it?

I had previously loaded the cam with defective 2016 firmware but the v2.400.0000.4.R.20150607 sent to me by Kitsap works perfectly with my 2015 cam. I have already thanked him. RyanMM take note!

I might figured out the problem that I cannot connect to Imou or DMSS app on my phone. My camera does not have the P2P option in the Web approach. In your screenshot there is a firmware version with P2P in it's name: "DH_SD-Zi-Themis_Eng_P_Stream3_P2P_IVS_V2.400.0001.0.T.20170209.bin". Where can I find this version?

Will send you a PM with the specific firmware because it is not available on the internet.

Just to report back to everyone. I received a copy of "DH_SD-Zi-Themis_Eng_P_Stream3_P2P_IVS_V2.400.0001.0.T.20170209.bin" from IPCamer.

It works flawless on my SD22204T-GN (16Mb) . It also gave me back the ability to connect the camera to the Imou Life app. IPCamer points out that in this version of the firmware P2P was still called Easy4ip.

Hi how are you doing!!
A pleasure to read them!!!
At the moment I have two DH-SD22204T-GN that after working for a few hours they hang, if the recipe continues working for a while and it hangs again. It currently has firmware 2.400.0000.16.R.T1.484, build: 2016-05-17. It is the small firmware (13 kb) before the 2017 updates.

You wanted to try putting the previous firmware on them to see if it is more stable, but I can't find it anywhere.

Could someone give me the firmware "2.400.0000.4.R.T1.484, build: 2015-06-07"

From already thank you very much!!!

2015-06-07 file attached. Actually, having at first being pleased with this firmware, I've now discovered that it still has some of the problems that I thought were introduced when I updated to the 2016-05-17 firmware - although on the good side the camera doesn't hang. Consequently, I would be please to try the DH_SD-Zi-Themis_Eng_P_Stream3_P2P_IVS_V2.400.0001.0.T.20170209 firmware. Any chance please Errrr or IPCamer would one of you would take a moment to post or send it. Thank you.

2015-06-07 archivo adjunto. Gracias.

In the attachment to this post you will find firmware DH_SD-Zi-Themis_Eng_P_Stream3_P2P_IVS_V2.400.0001.0.T.20170209.

I'm not sure about any issues but for me it resolved not having a connection to the Imou app, which now functions (with restricted features). I have not tried connecting it to DMSS yet to see if that will unlock all features.

Thank you Errrr. I’ve updated my camera with this 2017 firmware. I’m sure this will be the final update produced for my 2015 camera. Not fully tested yet but it seems to be working OK except it has the same limitation as the 2015 FW in that it is not recognised in Blue Iris as a branded SD22204T-GN Dahua camera when using the camera’s custom password. I will stick with this FW version.
