Have had the Dahua SD5043OU-HNI deployed for several months now. Very reliable, great video, powerful PTZ.
But I cannot figure its Auto Tracking and Facial Recognition features out after countless hours of reconfiguring things...
The only auto tracking that zooms in and tracks objects as a result of triggering IVS rules is the Fast Moving rule. For this to work, an object must move through the configured region quickly (whatever that means), then sometimes it will zoom in and track as expected.
For other IVS event types, like Tripwire and Intrusion regions, auto tracking just ignores the object, fails to zoom in or track, even when the Event Log shows an event was triggered.
The Dahua wiki and YouTube video software and screenshots are way out of date and don't match the curt software, so the dated examples aren't useful.
Of course the docs are incomplete and provide no step by step setup or examples of how to configured Auto Tracking. Ditto for facial recognition.
It's a shame to produce such a great camera with docs and support that render it far short of its capabilities.
I bought this camera for auto zoom and close up tracking. Anyone know the tricks to making it work as advertised?
