hi all,
I have a SD52C225U-HNI from Andy.
why is it i can only get the camera to use 1920x960 aspect ratio?
i can only see the full image in the browser window.
i have the latest blue iris, just updated it in the last 2 days. (5.3.2.1)

Is this normal for blueiris and dahua cameras?
i have changed the camera/video settings to only have the same result.
I only have one at the moment, my other are hikvision, they all display the correct aspect ratio.

No, it is not normal. Your configuration is messed up. Look at BI's camera settings > Video tab and make sure "Anamorphic (force size)" is unchecked, and then click the "Configure" button and screenshot that panel and paste it here.

thanks,
anamorphic is not checked, i dont remeber ever using it. but in the box it shows 1920x960. the numbers are grayed.
the only way to change it is to enable anamorphic and change it it 1920x1080. this changes nothing. as soon as i uncked anamorphic it goes back to 1920x960.
could it be that the camera was first setup as onvif?

That all looks fine, like my Dahuas, except my media profile box is empty and it looks like you may have a port number appended in your address bar. Hard to tell because you painted over it.

FYI, local addresses (such as any in the 192.168.x.x range) are just fine to share online.

So I'd try removing the port number from the address bar. Just have the IP address there.

Next thing to look at would be the video encoding settings in the camera's web interface.

yes i have each camera on it's own port. started doing that about 12 years ago. just habit now.
i'll have a look at the video encoding settings, i dont remember seeing anything realated to 1920x960. but my memory is like swiss cheese.lol
maybe i should remove the camera and start over with it.

Removing the camera and adding it back sorted it out.
