SD59225U-HNI startup motor skipping

Ok, I found locally produced (would you know it heh) stepdown transformer, I took the 50W version and so far so good, the "little piggie" is back online! Thanks again guys!

Oh one more thing: the transformer has only one bracket/connector for ground/earth wire; should I connect the ground wires from both, the supply side of the coil AND from the camera?

Yes, you can tie the gnd from your house power and from the camera at the xformer. You do want to add a fuse on the input line in case of a catastrophic failure.
