Hello friends !

I need your help or advice.
I have had a dahuaSD5A432Xa-HNR for 2 months - new.
Suddenly the camera showed longevity warning and went into a resting position.
The POE power supply shows red led so too much current or another error. After swapping was the same reaction of the cam.
Secound message " it is not remommended to use PTZ "!
NO descrption in the instruction for use - what the hell ist it ??????

best regards
stormy

PTZs are only programmed to work a certain amount of "cycles" and that message sounds like what one gets when it is approaching that limit - so did you purchase from a reputable seller or is this a used machine that is near its useful life?

Hello !
I bought it from a privat seller on ebay , but everthing looked very well. The date of production on the label was 2020 -09. But who knows.
I will try the power supply of the cam and a factory reset !
What will happend , if you ignore the warning ?

If the warning is because it is approaching the expected end of life based on number of PTZ movement cycles, that once it hits that cycle number, it becomes a fixed camera and not a PTZ.

Keep in mind a camera installed protected from the elements can look brand new years later because it isn't like it is being handled.

That is the chance when you buy from a private seller on ebay!

See if you can file a claim or get a refund.

And buy future cameras from a reputable seller.

I’ve searched high and low but can’t find the answer. Does anybody know what the life expectancy is of a PTZ camera? PTZ Life cycles?
