Can you see any MAC addresses related to the unknown IP addresses? Primitively, checking via arp -a
Traffic between NVR <--> Internet might not be triggering perhaps due to another device on your network being compromised. So traffic is instead going from NVR <--> (compromised PC or device) <--> Internet.
...but then there's the tin-foil-hat possibility that the software you're hunting with has been compromised perhaps because, as you put it, the company was too broke to purchase it. Depends how paranoid you're feeling.
