If there is a guide or video somewhere on the site for standard settings/definitions please link.

I was going through some of my cameras making adjustments and I realized I'm not sure about some of the basic settings. I am setting up a IPC-T5842TM-SE camera currently:

Simple stuff like
Can you run Smart Detection and also run a Smart Plan? If yes, do I want to if I really just want the people and cars detected?
If you run a tripwire setup will you also trigger on animals?
This camera will also be a night IR camera and I read some really good info on this site regarding shutter speed but I dont see it on the GUI, is it called something else?

Hope thats not too much, I know I'm a noob but any help is appreciated.

Make sure you read this thread:

Most here will run Smart Plan/IVS or SMD not both. Try each one with your field of view and use the one that works best. For most the IVS rules work the best.

Unless you try to do too much with the field of view, it will not get false triggers for animals, etc. Now some people want these cameras to trigger for animals, so you then would have to use MD and not take advantage of the AI in the cameras.

Shutter speed is under the Exposure tab in the GUI.
