I don't know what else to try I have been reading posts on here everything i try gives me a new problem. The nvr is a 16 channel poe. My router ip address is 192.168.254.254. So i changed the internal nic to 172.254.168.10. That cleared the errors on nvr about ip conflict. But now when i try to change the ip address on my camera from the factory setting 192.168.254.78 to 172.254.168.2 I get an error The ip address and default gateway are not in the same network segment. So i don't have a clue what to do next. I have been working on this for a month on and off now. I do not know what else to try, any help would be appreciated.

They do need to be in the same address range.
What did you use?
A valid default gateway IP address would be 172.254.168.10 as that is the NIC address of the NVR PoE interface that you have set.
It can operate as a gateway for the camera.
I didnt change the gateway only the ip address. Thank you I changed the gateway on my camera and it is working. Cant thank you enough.
