I have 7 HK 2032 bullets all connected to my readynas 104.
working well so far but noticing my nas is getting hot in the system temp 70c.

Not sure if this is normal but it doesn't seem it for me. Mu disk is around 40c but I'm not to flussed by that, its the system temp that scares me.
It has been very hot though so I thought it was the environment temp causing it.

Though id ask the question though, 7 cameras downloading what they see 24/7 to my nas. Is it going to cook the CPU of the NAS?
I am downloading to nas in mainstream too not sub stream.

Check the system resources to see what % utilisation the CPU is running at.
And check out the fans - does the system show you the fan speed, and are they all running OK?

fan is running at 1000rpm system cpu is at 70c.

i have just turned all recording off and the cpu temp is now 63c. Cant say for sure if it was the cam's or me just cooling the room where my equipment is.

what is other peoples experience with multiple cam's with continious recording. any cpu strain on your hardware that is storing the data or not?

It sounds like the cameras are only adding a small amount to the CPU temperature.
What's just as interesting is the CPU % utilisation with and without the cameras feeding the NAS.
That will tell you if the system is straining a bit.

70DegC for the CPU is a little warm - but not excessively so.
And 1000rpm sounds a little slow, even for a big fan.
