Hi,
I purchased 3 of the DH-IPC-HDW5442TM-ASE (the model number on the website and invoice) for what seem(ed) to be a good price here in Australia (AUD$260 / USD$160)
But, I was delivered 3 of the DH-IPC-HDW5442TMP-AS-0280B (this is the model number on the boxes).
There is an added "P" - and no "E" - on the models I received. And a date of 2019-12 (quite old).
None of the models have "LED" in the model name/number.
Both seem to be End Of Life.
From what I can tell, the ones I actually ordered are newer models with extended ePOE. But I cant see many differences in the spec sheets - I'm no expert though....
Please could you help me identify the differences and if they are significant (or fixed by firmware updates for example)?
Should I just keep what I received or ask for what I paid for?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

What’s the model number in the sticker on the camera itself?

Have you plugged it into the NVR and gone to System Information? What does it say the model # is there?

Does Andy ship to the land down under? @EMPIRETECANDY
Would the IPC-T54IR-AS 2.8mm S3
be the newer version in US its $159 on amazon?

We have many members here from the land down under that buy from Andy.

Which is why I said at that price, I would want the S3.

I would expect the 2019 model to be selling for like $60USD

Hi the number on the sticker is the same as the box
DH-IPC-HDW5442TMP-AS-0280B

Aside from price, is there any real difference between the two model numbers?
For instance what does the “P” and “E” stand for in the Dahua naming conventions/nomenclature?
Thank you

Do not know. But Yes I think they are different. That one doesnt seem to have the latest S3 guts

The others can correct me but the 5442 is the older part number
its newer part is T54IR

Just help clarify The Empire Tech is a full on Dahua OEM.

This I believe is the newer replacement.

in General sound like you are paying full price for and older model.

The "P" is for PAL, as opposed to "N" for NTSC
According to an older model decoder I have, the "E" is for the "case sequence", which I cannot elaborate on further, and wonder if it's even valid anymore. I've also seen "E" to mean EPOE support.

Take a look at this post for how to tell an S2 from an S3. This is not an S3, is it?

It is definitely the S2 model, with the torx screw not the wider "tab" case.
The website had "WizMind S series" and also photos of the newer case with the tab, not the torx screw. The downloadable spec sheet was also for the newer version with better low light ability...
The supplier has said I'm able to return them given these errors.
I understand the newest version has "S3" in the name, is that correct? Whether it is EmpireTech 54IR or Dahua 5442, it needs to say s3? or is there a even newer version?
Thanks for everyone's help.
